MEET NJWOMENSONG’S LEADERSHIP

NJWOMENSONG is privileged to be led by a team of talented music professionals who bring their expertise and passion to every rehearsal and performance. Their dedication, skill and leadership are integral to the growth of each member and the success of our organization.

Hillary Colton

Conductor

Ms. Colton is the Director of Musical Activities at Hunterdon Central Regional High School in Flemington, NJ. In addition to leading seven choirs during the school year, she is the Head Director and Conductor of the American Music Abroad Voices Tour which concertizes every summer in Europe. Choirs under her direction have performed in 15 countries. Ms. Colton is also the 2007 NJ Master Music Teacher of the Year and a recipient of the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Arts Education as well as the NJMEA Distinguished Service Award. She has conducted the NJ All State Women’s Choir at NJPAC, and the CMEA Women’s Honors Choir. She received her Bachelors of Music in Music Education and Vocal Performance from the University of Delaware and her Masters in Vocal Performance from the Manhattan School of Music.

Rosemary Nagy

Conductor

Ms. Nagy teaches 7th and 8th grade vocal and classroom music at JP Case Middle School. Her professional accolades include Teacher of the Year in 2002 and 2011 as well as a two time recipient of the NJ Governor's Teacher Recognition Award. She is a Fulbright Alumnus, teaching at the Leweston School in Sherborne, England. Ms. Nagy has had the honor of guest conducting the NJ Junior High Honors Choir and the Central Jersey Music Educators Region II Honors Chorus. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Westminster Choir College and has a Master of Arts degree from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Thomas Molessa

Collaborative Pianist

Mr. Molessa has been accompanying choirs, orchestras, and soloists for more than 25 years. He has performed throughout the world on various tours and music festivals in Asia, Europe and North America. Mr. Molessa is currently the collaborative pianist for Delaware Valley Choral Society in Milford, PA, NJWOMENSONG in Flemington, NJ, Taghkanic Chorale in Yorktown Heights, NY, and Clarum Sonum in Florham Park, NJ. Additionally, he is a collaborator with various J-Pop groups in Japan.

Mr. Molessa has studied piano collaboration and coaching at Westminster Choir College, holds a Bachelor of Business degree in Actuarial Science from Rider University, and an MBA degree in Marketing and Computer Science from the University of Rochester. He also tutors AP math classes, including calculus, statistics, and advanced algebra.
